Drawings

Drawing has accompanied all my artistic work. I do not understand it only as a preparatory instrument, it is a fascinating discipline on its own. However, having practised life drawing for more than ten years, the experience gained there provides a great foundation and support for both two- and three-dimensional work.  I use charcoal and pastel, pen and ballpoint pen and often deploy a mix of drawing and other materials for special texturing. In many of my works, the transitions from drawing to painting become flowing, and graphic and pictoral elements play into each other.
