Projects

Artists usually develop their work, their use of materials and techniques and their themes in individual processes. Creative work requires concentration and focus, observation, judgement and quite often a lot of time.
When working on my own, I enjoy all this because it means maximum freedom of work.

However, a very special quality of artistic work means collaborating on group projects.
During my years in England, I took part in several complex projects where I enjoyed sharing, discussing and developing ideas with other invited artists from different countries, each time focusing on an overarching socio-political theme.
The open character of the projects implied multi-faceted artistic interpretations and forms of expression. The public’s response to the exhibitions, which included not only powerful visual works but also music and dance performances, lectures and other actions, was very positive.
Back in Germany, I am continuing my individual work, while simultaneously looking for opportunities to collaborate with other artists who are addressing relevant themes.
